Our Vision and Mission

Our Vision at Kooinda Farm is to inspire you to love our Artisan Teas and all that goes into their creation. We will give you the best possible organically grown, gourmet ingredients to help nourish your spiritual and physical health and wellbeing. This is achieved sustainably and by giving back to our planet in everyway we can.

Kooinda Farm’s Mission is to create awesome Artisan Teas to help everyone improve wellness, relaxation, and connection. The connection being to each other through the social interaction of drinking tea, and to the Earth by honouring the process of farming regeneratively. To also enrich the biodiversity on our farm, to nurture the health of the soil, and to create a place that we love to work in. This will give us both joy and inspiration with which to create our Teas.

Our Philosophy

To produce organically grown, chemical free ingredients. To keep small scale and boutique. And to practice regenerative agriculture to build soil nutrition and sink carbon back into the soil. This creates a thriving farm ecosystem and good soil nutrition which puts the nutritional value back into the food. It’s organic farming and permaculture all rolled into one, which means you never need to use pesticides, fungicides or herbicides. We also maintain 40 out of our 100 acres as native bushland for all our native critters. The bushland has hardwood trees such as Cedar, Tallow-wood, Tea Tree, and Forest Oak .

To create biodiversity along with our Macadamia Orchards, we have a Citrus Orchard of Kaffir Limes, Tahitian Limes, Lemons, and Oranges, Mandarin, and Finger Limes. There is also a Dragon Fruit orchard and a mixed fruit orchard. In the veggie gardens we grow Yacon, Lemongrass, Turmeric, Ginger, Elderberries, Arrowroot, and of course lots of wonderful herbs! And of course there are flowers everywhere to attract those wonderful bees!

The Chooks forage in the orchards along with the Ducks to keep down the pests, and we have Geese to help keep the grass mowed! We mustn’t forget our couple of very lovable Goats who keep the veggie gardens in great shape as we rotate our crops. They fertilise the ground as they munch, ready to plant the next crop! You can take this journey with us on Facebook and Instagram.

The combination of our organically grown, boutique ingredients of herbs, ginger, citrus, plus a few roses from the flower gardens, are combined in our wonderful range of Artisan Teas! We now also have a range of dried culinary herbs and Medicinal Herbs. Everything is freshly harvested as needed for sale. This means some of the products are only available when they are in season.

Meet our team on the video below.

Sadly Holly passed late last year and we now have a new team member, Sam. He has big paws to fill, and is a total nutcase, but he is totally adorable!

We acknowledge the traditional owners of this land, Gumbaynggirr country, and pay our respect to elders past and present.
